Who could it be, emerging from the ashes of Gho$t's burned down house like some sort of space aged phoenix, emerging into the daylight to soak up the digital rays of a blackened sun with their sooty, feather-clad wings of trepidation?
It's none other than ALPHABETHEAD and YOUNG GHO$T!
But wait, what are they doing together you ask?
Why of course, ever since Gho$t completed his turntable training with Alphabethead as his master, they've both been hibernating in the booth, and now they're here to give you a bad taste test of their all new collaborative project, 'BAD TASTE'!
The new school and the old school have united elements of the past and the future to create a sound that is entirely fresh, yet eerily familiar, and we want you to come along for the ride!
Experience these sounds, sensations and smells for the very first time, with flavours of hip hop, turntablism and psychadelia combining to create an unsettling treat for your pallet - come on down to Valhalla and feast your ears upon this Bad Taste!
But wait! There's more! It's not all about the headliners! We've brought in live visuals and some of our favourite acts from Poneke along to make the party go round, along with one special guest from Otautahi...
Kicking off the night, we've got funky reggae-pop badmen TIN PALACE to swing the place into action with some live jams, followed by gender-defying anti-colonial lyricist NAHBO, rapping over their homemade beats and laying down a strong poetic framework for the night to build upon.
Following the main event, we have cranking tunes on the Valhalla soundsystem courtesy of fellow Alphabet trainee and techno selector extraordinaire, ALICE AGNES, followed by a set of high-octane 160bpm footwork bounce by none other than Big Fresh head honcho LIAM K SWIGGS. And who knows, there may be a little surprise of some sort at the end... But you'll have to wait and see about that!
