After a year of chaos, Juno Is, Sunflower Scent and Man Ray have decided to put on a one night only show at their most frequented venue- The Crown. Expect a mixture of head-banging and boogies through the night.
Juno Is: Juno Is is the solo project of Ōtepoti based drummer turned guitarist, Mackenzie Hollebon. Born as a home recording experiment in 2019, Juno Is has developed a distinctive sound full of lovely rhythmic guitars, disrupting lead tones and lush layered vocals. Her sound can easily be defined as ‘Psychedelic Dream Rock’. Similar to the sounds of Sugar Candy Mountain, MGMT and Mermaidens you can expect a dreamy yet groovy live performance.
Man Ray:
Described as Ōtepoti's 'N Sync, 4-piece ‘Peppy Poppy Jazzy Snazzy Funky Punky Rock’ band Man Ray have taken off in the Ōtepoti gig scene over the past year. Be prepared to embark on a night of bopping to their tasty tunes.
Sunflower Scent: Sunflower Scent are a trio from Dunedin. Inspired by the post punk genre, noisy feedback, distorted riffs and melodic vocal harmonies are to be expected.
