FOLKINFUSION
Margi Ferguson and Tracey Hutchison met around five years playing as part of a larger ukulele group. They
formed Folkinfusion after some successful open mic sessions in local cafes around Invercargill two years ago.
Margi has always loved music, and picked up the ukulele a few years ago, falling in love with the simplicity and genuineness of its sound.Margi loves the diversity of people she has met through playing the ukulele. She enjoys singing gorgeous harmonies with Tracey, and having a good laugh in the process. Margi is always looking to evolve her sound as she progresses on her musical journey.
Tracey learnt a couple of instruments as a teenager, and then put those aside to continue her love of dance and musical theatre, which was her platform to begin singing.Although loving and appreciating music for her lifetime, Tracey did not reconnect with
playing/singing until inspired by the Wellington Ukulele Orchestra, enlisted for ukulele classes around ten years ago.Tracey is very grateful for the fabulous people connections that music has given her, and like Margi continues to evolve her sound.
Folkinfusion are thrilled to be asked to perform and the Dunedin Folk Club. Thanks so much for having us
