Up and coming song-writers Sam Bambery and Neive Strang join forces in Ōtepoti for this special one off show at Bark! Expect grinding indie rock jangle mixed with a deep emotional oeuvre.
Sam Bambery is a Ōtautahi-based musician that has built a steady reputation in the Garden City’s alternative music and art scenes whilst also having a deep interest in folk music and creative songwriting as a whole. Bambery recently released his debut album 'Songs About Sailors', produced by recording whiz-kid De Stevens (Marlin's Dreaming, asta rangu), peppered with a heartbroken alt-country vibe.
Neive Strang was born and raised in Dunedin, New Zealand. Originating from a musical family, she has been musically inclined ever since she can remember. Her diverse sound fluctuates between songs and has been listed as folk-pop, indie-rock to bedroom pop. Her EP, 'I Am The Ribbon' released earlier this year explores indie rock grooves and dreamy guitar sounds.
