Wellington based The Fades are Aotearoa’s vintage funk & soul masters, born out of a love of their heroes such as Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and many more in the classic soul cannon. They draw from a deep collection of soul and funk artists and labels from the likes of STAX to DAPTONE, among other modern vintage treats and retro soul.
Boasting members from Wellington staples such as Raw Collective, TOI, the Shake-em-on-Downers, Fly My Pretties & Richter City Rebels to name a few - The Fades are polished and ready to drop their modern kiwi take on the classic soul sound.
Off the back of their latest single release 'The Day' (out 6 May on Diver Records) and their first gig since November 2020?! (yeah cheers, 'rona) - this gig is certainly one not to be missed!!!
