After needing to reschedule due to COVID lockdowns earlier this year, The Weather Machine is playing their first gig in Wellington EVER.
Think hearty lyricism, theatrics, and some devil-may-care, off the cuff indie-jazz-rock, and you might start to get a sense of what this New Zealand and Oregon-based project has up it's sleeve. This is the debut Wellington concert for the project's lead singer, who's teamed up with some of the city's finest musicians after moving to Welly in 2021. They will be playing songs from the project's first three records, and unreleased songs from the upcoming fourth studio album - in an intimate setting at the cozy (and appropriately rowdy) Function@216.
Locals Octopus in Heels will be opening the night, fresh off their own debut in Wellington.
There are only room for 50 people at this special show, so be sure to grab your tickets in advance, and preview The Weather Machine's music at weathermachinemusic.com
