Takumi Motokawa presents 'TOAD Live'
What do those amphibians dream of in this world? While the choir of them is singing, what do we dream in between our conscious and subconscious parts? Is there such a thing as a shared dream that we all go into? We may dream of the same thing but we each voice it out differently. Thousands and more voices of ours together do indeed sound like these toads singing in the green field where the rain falls and the wind blows.
Takumi Motokawa:
a musical kaleidoscope that is one part percussionist, one part keyboardist, one part composer, one part producer, and all parts unforgettable. Expect: intricate keyboard playing, bold expression, complexity, simplicity, and a wild ride.
Tak is a class act that has worked with other class acts such as Shackleton, Strike Percussion, Nik Nowak, David Delgado, Jepe, Matilda Abraham, Samin Son and 404. As well as recording and touring with these artists, he’s released several albums of his own music and had a track on Spotify that had over a million downloads, which may not be as big a deal these days but I promise it was impressive at the time.
He was born in Japan, raised in Aotearoa and now lives in Germany. He also performed in London, Helsinki, Tokyo and Shanghai along the way.
You probably don’t want to miss this musical kaleidoscope perform.
