ABSURD IN 2023 FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!!
That’s right, the Absurd! Boys are laying it down once again in the streets of Newtown at the all too familiar MOON on Saturday the 4th of February.
After spending their summer resting, relaxing and bush doofing, they’re ready to bring the absurdity into 2023 and get your faces grinning. With all that pent up summer energy, they’ll be steaming into another serving of that familiar Absurd! sound (but what is that sound?). Blending indie music into all sorts of places that’ll rock your socks off, because dancing bare feet is way better.
This time Absurd! will be ripping into it alongside Happy Two and Groundfloor. Happy Two have frequented the music scene in Wellington this past year, offering up their flavourful indie-pop rock anthems and guaranteed good times. They’ll have you grooving and hitting high notes like you wouldn’t believe. You’ll definitely want to be ready when these guys get into it. With that, we’ve got Groundfloor who are a group of solid mates who have been together since their highschool days, keeping up such a keen chemistry. Over their time they have been blessing ears with their fusion of indie, alternative and soft rock. Don’t doubt they’ll be there regaling us with another tasty dose of their latest sound too.
This (rather last minute) gig is the first of two that Absurd! are doing in February, with the next gig announcement coming soon. Keep those ears open for when it drops! Finally, in the fashion of a true absurdist questioning the nature of reality, there have been rumours questioning the longevity and existence of the Absurd! into the inevitably unpredictable future.
