Takadimi blends ancient classical Indian music with Western Jazz and world music. The band leader Manjit Singh is the most popular tabla player and Indian music figure in New Zealand. He has performed and collaborated with many local and international musicians. Manjit will be joined by his better half Daljeet, who is a phenomenal singer and expert in North Indian classical singing.
The band will perform their originals and a selection of Jazz and world music numbers. Enjoy the tabla grooves and ancient ragas with a swing of Jazz.
