Al Park and Unknown Legends return to A Rolling Stone for a show that will take you on a musical journey to kick off your weekend. Lyttelton based musician Al Park is famed in Ōtautahi for his support of local music and musicians, along with his superb song-writing. With Unknown Legends he is joined by Dan Heatley, who played drums for legendary Pogues singer/songwriter Shane MacGowan, Gordon Gordy Goodinson on electric guitar and Lu Whiteley on bass and vocals. Enthusiasm and experience combine to produce a rich sound with its roots in country, folk and rock. This will be a night based on Al Park’s original songs, with a few choice covers in the mix, and special guest Richard Grist.
Richard is a Singer/Songwriter from Christchurch. His music mixes elements of acts like Band of Horses, Wilco and Nick Cave. He went Viral on TikTok in 2023 sharing his Songwriting tips. He is currently playing in local band, Blackhole Stars, and performing solo.
