Women about Sound are hosting a music showcase to keep the winter blues away
With an array of talent that includes:
Ava and Leov: A new project by singer-songwriters Avalon Hewitt and Jessie Leov. With over a decade of friendship behind them, their strong musical kinship lends a unique, soulful dynamic to their original tunes.
Madeleine Worsley with Samantha Cheong: A singer-songwriter duo who bring stories to life with music. Whether it's Madeleine's word play or Sam's snazzy guitar riffs, you're in for a good time!
Maddy South: Is the rusty cog in the Women of Sound wheel - airing her vocals independently for the first time for a while with the support of Women About Sound. Big Wheels Keep on turning - her recent life journeys have reignited her independent songwriting and she's over the moon (just a little overwhelmed) to be sharing the stage with these beautiful wahine for a special night of shared music.
ABBIE: Known for her warm tone and heartfelt delivery, kiwi-born soulstress ABBIE, offers a powerfully intimate musical experience.
Scarlett Lashes: An electro trash queen. A genre bending mix of performance art, comedy and banging beats
Women About Sound aims to encourage the development of a thriving diverse music community for cis and trans women and gender diverse musicians in Aotearoa.
