Albi & The Wolves will enter a new era when their latest album Light After The Dark drops on October 13th. To celebrate this they’ll be taking an 11-piece band on the road in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. This is Albi & The Wolves in a way you’ve never heard them before. The hard-working indie-folk trio have toured New Zealand prolifically for the better part of 9 years, and among their many successes, they won the Best Folk Artist Tui at the Aoteroa Music Awards in 2018. Their signature lush harmonies, and electric violin, and foot-stomping anthems will be backed by drums, horns, a string section and more!
This evolution was inspired by the record they’ve spent two and a half years making and continues their trend of expanding their borders with each new release. Producer and AAA Records label head TeMatera Smith helped the trio experiment during the recording process. This album is what inspired the big band idea and the trio, joined by the band, will recreate this sound LIVE.
Come fill your boots with soul, join the Albi & The Wolves' ever-growing community, and relish in the dense sonic representation of their third album. Rest assured, the performance will not disappoint.
