Hailing from Bristol, UK, Mystic State are a high-octane production duo renowned for their unique multi genre approach to bass music. Their signature sound is characterised by a fusion of late 90's Jungle, Dub, and Ambient, layered with obscure and intricately placed samples. Initially known for their clean compositions in Half-Time and DnB, Mystic State exploded onto the Dubstep scene with releases on labels such as Artikal Music, Infernal Sounds, and Deep Dark And Dangerous.
Powered by FURTHER SOUND's own custom built heavyweight sound system, and hosted by local legend Young Gho$t, this is set to be one of the biggest events of the year!

MYSTIC STATE
Mystic State are a bass music production duo from Bristol, UK, comprised of members Will Marquiss and Mike Holliday. After perfecting the art of turntablism in their teens, the pair turned their attention to studying music production, and Mystic State was born.
Following their debut release Massochist on Delta9 Recordings in 2013, they were immediately signed by Sickbrain Music for their second EP, and Skutta Records in 2014 for their first vinyl imprint. Over the coming years, they saw a multitude of releases on labels such as Flexout Audio, Nurtured Beatz, Blenditz Audio, Context Audio, Addictive Behaviour Records, and Absys Records.
In 2017 Mystic State launched their own label The Chikara Project, going on to release music from artists including Ethos, Pugilist, Wilf Hertz, and Crypticz, as well as their first full length solo album My Own Private Island. In 2019, Mystic State made a name for themselves in the world of Dubstep, with their EP Mahdi on the legendary label Artikal Music, and a follow-up EP Tomahawk on the same label a year later.
Since then, Mystic State has consistently released music each year, including a collaborative EP with Substrada on Infernal Sounds, a solo EP on Deep Dark And Dangerous, and a third EP on Artikal Music. Their music has been met with critical acclaim, receiving nominations for the Duploc Dubstep Awards, as well as heavy support from other artists including J:Kenzo, Truth, Noisia, Calibre, Om Unit, and Koan Sound.
Mystic State continue to tour internationally, produce and release music at a relentless pace, as well as foster the community by signing up and coming artists to their own label.
