The Scintillators bring their original songs, infectious lo-fi funk and spacey jams to The Blues On The Point Festival on Nelson's waterfront.
Featuring the songs of slide guitarist Steve Mitchell, the band build highly individual grooves powered by two drummers, Lenny Chick and Rob De Leeuw with bassist Hayden Stamp. Lead guitarist Luke Wilkes of Spinoza and The Violet Project joins Steve in a high-wire twin guitar attack.
The Festival brings together seven bands in a celebration of the best of Tasman Bay Blues:
The Barnstormers, Dem Blues Boys, Jukejoint, Rich & The Poor Boys, The Rubber Biscuit Band, The Scintillators and The West Coast Blues Band.
Held in the gardens of The Honest Lawyer Pub, Monaco, Nelson, the event is family-friendly and runs from 1pm-8pm. ENTRY IS BY CASH DONATION.
The festival is hosted by The Tasman Bay Blues Club.
