This April we've got a great collection of Ōtepoti artists that are bringing some fresh tunes and cozy vibes that'll have you bobbing, cruising and grooving all night long. With the beautiful venue Moons hosting us, this gig is sure to be a night you won't want to miss!
A bit about the bands:
'Deputy Mayor' have officially come out of hiding. After a one hit wonder show in December of 2022 the band vanished into thin air. Leaving behind their family, their loved ones and their old band name that people kept associating with Gonorrhea (Clapstack is a type of cymbal you guys!). Only murmurs were heard last year of them playing a private 21st but there were no public appearances or confirmations of future gigs. UNTIL NOW! This new and improved four piece funk band are hoping to bring back some old school groove with a lick of modern jazz and R&B flavours. Their socials are still in the works but keep an ear and an eye out for potential releases in the near future.
Nick and the Loungers are an Ōtepoti based band dishing up soul-nourishing tunes. They love to lounge but are also big advocates of a froth up which shows in the songs, flowing from mellow and intimate verses to big old Boomfa choruses. Bring your slippers and dancing shoes, you’re gonna be needing both!
