About the Band:
Ravines, formerly known as Ophelia, emerged as a collaborative effort between composer/producer Patrick Shanahan and singer/songwriter Alex Louise. The duo produced three EPs, releasing electronically-driven tracks. Their work marked a significant phase in their musical journey.
Transitioning into a solo endeavour, Alex Louise now spearheads Ravines, drawing from her roots as a folk artist during her solo performance days. Based in the Bay of Plenty, Aotearoa, her performance has evolved into a more pared-back, acoustic rendition of old songs and new. Upcoming releases from Ravines navigates themes through moody vocal mixes and ambient backdrops, inviting listeners into a darker sound that merges her past and present musical explorations.
