We are pinching ourselves... The Support Your Local Collective is proud to present Neffa-T at Il Bruto!
On the 6th of April, we will have arguably the most creative and technical 140 BPM DJ gracing Auckland’s Il Brutto, delivering an undefinable set blending techno, dubstep, grime and more with surgical precision. For the uninitiated, Neffa is renowned for his ability to effortlessly mix any genre together, delivering high energy sets consistently – look at any of his Keep Hush or countless Rinse FM sets and you’ll see he is one of the most unique DJs of all time. He is also a skilled and versatile producer with releases on the legendary White Peach blending techno and what can only be called Nu Grime. Bridging the gap between the sounds of Bristol and Berlin is a remarkable talent that Neffa has mastered.
There aren’t many people who can mix with Neffa, but the local support we have carefully selected can. Firstly, on opening duties is Support Your Local’s resident, Faulsk. Jack is a DJ with a plethora of influences, and it is shown in his wide range of selections and varying productions. Whilst not having anything released, Faulsk is sitting on a lethal bag of dubs across the 140 spectrum he is ready to throw down with – 4x4 dubstep, grime and straight shellers, he has it all. Keep an eye on his name as he is bound to be one of the finest producers coming out of Tāmaki Makaurau in the coming future.
On closing duties we have Structurally Unsound boss, No Harm. Nate is an extremely talented producer with productions across all alleys of 140 BPM and more. They also run the aforementioned Structurally Unsound label, one of Aotearoa’s finest pushing forward thinking dubstep and more. Nate is also a serious DJ with skills behind the decks like not many – Nate, like Neffa, also effortlessly blends many genres through their sets so we are very excited to see what they have in store for the late night crew! MC PL@ will also be hosting the night joining all our selectors keeping the vibes high and delivering his unique bars over the course of the sets... and calling for a few wheel ups. This is all powered by Il Brutto’s Tub’s Audio sound system in one of Auckland’s newest and intimate venues.
