Cowboy Dan:
Cowboy Dan continues the tradition of jangly, happy sad music. Chiming guitars, upbeat rhythms, and poignant lyrics are at the forefront as they craft their unique brand of alternative rock. Their live shows are renowned for their heart and dynamism. Aptly described at some point as ‘like The Bats on just the right amount of red bull’, Tāmaki Makaurau janglers Cowboy Dan write songs that exude both energy and sentiment.
Come help them warm up for their tour which kicks off the following week with a run of shows across lower Te Ika-a-Māui.
One Eyed Jacks:
Bringing together elements of the reverb-soaked 60’s surf rock revivalist bands like the Allah Las, Sun Room & Mystic Braves with the lush, chorus-y anthems of Her’s & Mac Demarco and you have the workhorse that is One Eyed Jack’s. Utilising the Underground Venue as their practice space their jangly guitar tones reflect the echo-tank, DIY space they were formed in.
