HŌHĀ (ŌTEPOTI)
Liam Clune (Night Lunch, Crime Hospital) and Madison Kelly (Riot Gull), being Māori and being fed up, together. Who knows what will happen! These buddies are keen on all potential of hōhātaka: frustration! drone! tension! repetition! noise! release!
CRIME HOSPITAL (ŌTEPOTI)
With a cheap drum machine and a $50 synth box purchased from Trade Me, Clune ventures out into the world of music, alone.
HALF/TIME (KIRIKIRIROA/TĀMAKI MAKAURAU)
HALF/TIME is a Māori centred post-punk band featuring Wairehu Grant on guitar and vocals, Cee on bass and vocals, and Ciara Bernstein on drums. Together they perform emotionally charged songs addressing decolonisation, structural racism and cultural resilience. Their music intertwines lyrics in English and te reo Māori with heavy riffs and driving rhythms.
In November of 2023 Half/Time released their EP ‘Black Union Jack’ which was recorded in July of the same year during Matariki.
