The deeply emotive raw power that New Zealand’s Loves Ugly Children brought to international fans throughout the 1990’s- is back.
A hugely powerful force both live and recorded - Loves Ugly Children were arguably the backbone of the underground emo/punk/shoegazer/grunge music scene in New Zealand during the mid nineties, releasing a good handful of EP's and albums for Flying Nun Records - and previously Flat City and Failsafe. They toured hard, throughout NZ, Australia and Europe before disbanding in 1998.
Their drive, their energy, their focus - was and still is - pure strength and authenticity. Their output is a great case for music being healing;

Reforming are original members, Simon Maclaren (vocals, guitar) and Floss Fleury (vocals, bass guitar), and Jason Young (vocals, drums)
