Remember winter with two of Nelson's premier artists Downriver and Siorche!
A night of original music, one can expect to feel their relationship with the universe via anecdotal songwriting and swoon-worthy melodies.
Siorche:
Siorche is a local singer-songwriter whose music reflects her personal experiences. Blending the classical guitar influences of her roots with a passion for jazz and soul, she crafts a sound that feels both uplifting and airy, while subtly conveying deep, heartfelt messages.
Downriver:
Downriver is a five piece folk group based in Nelson, New Zealand. Led by chief songwriter Yann Le Dorré(YOLK), their music veers between the heartfelt homeland balladry of 70’s singer songwriters and the existential melancholy of 90’s alternative.
More:
Swept out to sea on a southbound journey home, Yann Le Dorré has hit the floor in pursuit of his latest acoustic offering ‘I just had to pay the Rent’(Release date TBC). Following up on the stark and dark ‘The Circus is Closed’(2023) Le Dorré has recruited Nelson's most willing and able to aid him on his next barn burning sonic undertaking. The aptly named ‘Downriver’ consists of Dara Copeland(Severed Beliefs) on bass, Jed Swaney(The Dions, T.I.M.E) on keys, Kurtis Tombs(Kurt & Ngaio) on drums, and Siorche Harris(Siorche) on vocals.
