For one night only, Boaz Anema will be putting on a show at The Duck to tease his upcoming debut album ‘For Folk’s Sake’. After many years of writing songs for his band, BO And the Constrictors, Boaz is now working towards releasing his own personal collection of songs. From recent compositions, all the way back to his early days of songwriting, Boaz will be showcasing his creative evolution throughout his years as a songwriter. This will be a stripped back show with just his acoustic guitar and voice, allowing you to connect with the music and lyrics. Boaz will also share with you his process on how he writes music and give you a sneak peak on plans for the album’s release in the future. This is a one-of-a-kind show that invites intimacy and reflection between the musician and the crowd, embracing the emotive nature of many of Boaz's songs.
Boaz will be supported on the night by the wonderful Samarah Linwood. Samarah is a professional musician who regularly hosts the open mic at The Bog, and plays around town covering popular songs from the last few decades. Her soulful voice and calming musical style will be a perfect addition to the evening.
