Gig Information

The Wellington rockers bring their upbeat blues/funk infused alternative rock to Napier’s Paisley Stage, joined by Girl I Wanna Be and Hawke’s Bay’s own Say Or Do.

Bring your dancing shoes for a night of good vibes and partying - this show is not to be missed!

R18 event, with tickets available at Under The Radar ($10 + booking fee) or at the door ($15 cash).

Seismic State are; Sai (guitar), Liam (bass), Matthijs (drums), and Rogina (vocals & guitar).

In June 2021 they supported Auckland rockers, and Aotearoa Music Award winners, Dead Favours on their Riffing and Yelling tour. This was followed by inclusion in the lineup of Bayrock 2022 alongside legends Head Like a Hole, Stellar*, Zed, and Push Push, however the impact of covid restrictions caused the festival to be cancelled.

2024 was been a big year for Seismic State, releasing blues influenced 2 Homes and hard rock banger Blinded By The Sun (which has become their most streamed track). 2025 looks set for even bigger tremors!

Their style mixes rock with elements of blues, funk, progressive and alternative - they combine riff-oriented guitar with melodic bass lines and driving drum rhythms forming a foundation for creative vocal melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The result is an accessible and sonically pleasing bland of music not often found in the rock scene.

Say Or Do
Say Or Do, a 4-piece alt-rock band hailing from Hawke's Bay, delivers a dynamic blend of chill vibes and power riffs. Drawing comparisons to late 90s rock acts like Incubus, Bush, and Silverchair, while subtly infusing their music with a Kiwi touch, their sound delves into introspective themes while maintaining high-energy performances. With a focus on crafting authentic, raw soundscapes, Say Or Do offers a genuine rock experience that resonates with audiences.

The band’s debut EP, 'Shifting Paradigms,' drops in May, showcasing their evolving sound with a mix of recent singles and new material. Check them out on Spotify, Apple, Youtube…and anywhere else you pick up rocking tunes.

Girl I Wanna Be
Girl I Wanna Be is a Ngamotu/New Plymouth garage/punk, power duo with songs that evolve around driving basslines, solid beats and lyrics about all sorts of stuff.
There is only two criteria for our songwriting; it needs to be danceable, and it needs to be fun.
A list of things of interest:
• If you like to tap your foot and nod you head to the beat – there’s a chance you may like it.
• If you like to sing along to the chorus – there’s a chance you may have fun.
• If you like to dance – there’s a chance you may really like it.
• If you like to shake your whole body like you’re out of your mind – there’s a high likelihood that you’ll absolutely love it!

Girl I Wanna Be is:
Zoe – Drums Vocals.
Aroha – Bass Vocals.
