‘Bollywood meets Jazz’ is a collaboration between Auckland based jazz pianist and composer Ben Fernandez and the Auckland Jazz Orchestra (AJO).
It will feature modern, original, funky jazz arrangements of Bollywood classics. This is the first concert of its type in the country. Vocal and instrumental tunes that will transport you back to the golden days of Bollywood music played by the 20 piece Auckland Jazz Orchestra along with special guest vocalists Ritika Puri and Gopal Nair.
Mix of tunes from romantic ballads to songs that will make you want to groove and dance. Hear some of Bollywood’s biggest ‘hit’ songs performed in an entirely new dimension while still retaining the original essence and flavour of the tunes.
