Welcome to the final chapter of Synchronicity Events!
Over the course of Saturday the 14th of June and Sunday the 15th, we will be showcasing our final two part event in Ōtautahi.
On Saturday at the Sydenham Underpass venue, we will be setting up the Deep Frequency sound system to highlight an absolutely stacked line up of producers and musicians from across Aotearoa!
From roots reggae and soul to lyrically heavy hip hop. Dubwise dancehall culture to sketchy jungle mash ups! Each artist on this line up has a interpersonal story carved deep within their song selection. Some messages are hidden among cryptic cyphers, others paint a vary clear origin story of our connection to roots music and some are just raw, unfiltered and straight to the point!
LINE UP
6-7pm Casual Healing
7-8 Kenzie and Gordy (People Of The Pā)
8-9 TR & Mihihea
9-10 Kōroto & Pārūrū
10-11 Tipene
11-12 King Kapisi
12-1 Messenjah
1-2am Melodownz
We always aim to create fluidity through different areas within the venue. These spaces will range from interactive zones with various activities to engage in, a place to get kai and of course a large dance floor area for you to properly experience the sound waves.
We have teamed up with some of Ōtautahi's esteemed sound, lighting and visual projection teams to bring the space to life after dark. Deep Frequency, Motif Productions and Optiphonic will be providing an immersive visual and auditory experience for all those in attendance.
If you feel more inclined to sit down and receive in a quiet space then Sunday is the day for you.
E NOHO is the second part of our event which will be held at the Xchch venue on Wilsons Road. The doors to Xchch will open at 12 lunch time and we will be providing an afternoon based around manaakitanga (hospitality and care for others). There will be workshops, live performances, taonga pūoro sound journey, and communal shared kai to close the space.
E NOHO will be organised on a koha basis and a seperate event page will be shared with all the corresponding information.
invite your friends / whanau, help us create the guest list, choose who you want to share this experience with and follow the event page to keep track of all the info & announcements!
