freya’s folktronica songs are confessional outpourings exploring the most vulnerable sides of love, loss, and identity.
‘Of Water’, freya’s new studio album, reflects a continued raw and unfiltered confrontation of the most painful, transformative, and familiar terrain within her inner landscape. With metaphorical lyrics that sting with searing emotional clarity, ‘Of Water’ weaves intimate introspection with symbolic images of ghostly landscapes and bodies of water to create a soundscape that is at once haunting and healing.
On July 10, the official album release gig for freya's debut folktronica record, 'Of Water', will be held at the glamorous Ponsonby Social Club. Here, for the very first time, freya will perform her newest songs accompanied by a band, fully immersing her audience in the symbolically rich and emotionally transformative world Of Water.
Opening for freya is Laurs, a fellow singer-songwriter whose songs reflect a similar vulnerable self-reflection delivered with warm, intimate honesty.
freya's 'Of Water' album release performances also include:
7 JULY 2025: Guest Spot at The Bunker Hill Folk Club (acoustic) (8pm)
10 JULY 2025: Album Release Gig at Ponsonby Social Club (with band) (8pm)
