In a world that seems to spin faster every day, Champagne Weather makes time stand still. This duo is a blend of music that links maritime Canadian fiddle to Manhattan minimalism. It evokes Philip Glass and Steve Reich and, at the same time, down-east fiddle and traditional folksong. It's sparkling cello, ukulele and violin grounded by the rumble of low-fi synth.
