Paisley Stage presents Just Janie & Sig Wilder and support from Willsy & Friends
After a successful national tour in 2024 to support their debut double single 'Sylvia', Just Janie, Sig Wilder, and their band recorded their tour set in a 'Live Album' lounge session and are bringing that magic to the stage in Hawkes Bay.
Born and raised in Central Otago, Just Janie grew up writing songs tucked beneath the Hawkdun Ranges. With her EP ‘Muse and Musician’ surpassing a million streams, she earned praise from The Spinoff (NZ), observing:“If you find yourself on a hike this weekend… daydreaming about Laurel Canyon, it might be the perfect time for Just Janie’s Muse and Musician.”
Raised in the American Midwest and now living under the Southern Cross, Sig Wilder's music is a journey through the hills and plains of Aotearoa, weaving the nostalgia and sorrow of Americana into the fabric of Aotearoa’s musical landscape. His debut album 'Cowboy Practise' is out now.
Willsy is a local Haumoana boy with a great affiliation with tastey, soulful, groovy & delicious music. The Willsy & Friends sound can be described as galactic funk, groovy jazz with jazzy grooves, with hints of bluesy soul, infused with a generous splash of psychedelia.
