Paul + Mike Garner + Guests 'Summertime Blues II' at The Jam Factory
Paul Garner is NZ’s most successful blues player overseas. Since moving to London in the early 2000s, Paul has become a prominent figure in the UK blues scene and has graced festivals across Britain and Europe, with his own band and as guitar player for Steve ‘West’ Weston’s Bluesonics. Paul has also played alongside icons such as James Harman, Billy Branch, Lazy Lester, John Primer, and Little Freddie King. He is the go-to guitarist for Mud Morganfield, son of Muddy Waters, on European tours. Praised by Blues Matters! for his “incredible maturity” and “unique, refreshing approach”.
Paul will play and sing some acoustic blues, as well as leading a full band. For this show, Paul will have guests; Mike Garner on rhythm guitar, Joanne Melbourne, vocals, Tim Julian, piano, Jeff Baker, drums, Grant Willis bass, Robbie Lavën, sax.
Paul and Mike Garner bring a timeless blues experience to the stage. Both are exceptional vocalists, with Paul delivering a blend of sensitivity and virtuosity in every performance.
