Before this election year plunges the rainbow community into needless debates about whether or not they're allowed to exist, we'll need something to give us the energy to continue fighting and holding on to our rights. QUEER AUTUMN returns to Whammy Bar on Sunday, the 22nd of February to celebrate the intersections between alternative music and the rainbow/takatāpui community of Aotearoa.
With a lineup of new blood, returning expats, and rebranded legends, QUEER AUTUMN 2 officially makes Tāmaki Makaurau gig promoter Misheard's Auckland Pride offering an annual affair. Designed as a middle ground between the banging club nights and wholesome poetry meetups decorating the February events calendar, expect loud guitars, fast drums, and takatāpui/wahine vocalists singing and screaming their lungs out. Head to Whammy Bar early on Sunday evening for three great bands, beginning and wrapping up nice and early for the geezers and yuppies alike.
