
Triumphs Announce Album Release Tour
Heavy instrumental two-piece Triumphs have lined up a string of shows around the country to support the recent release of their debut album Beekeeper/Bastardknocker. The Dunedin duo wrote the eight-track record as a sludgy homage to New Zealand hero Sir Edmund Hillary, with the title nodding to Hillary's evolution from unassuming beekeeper to conquerer of Mount Everest. Beekeeper/Bastardknocker was laid down with engineer Dale Cotton at the Audioworkshop in Dunedin and has been released on 12-inch vinyl, which will no doubt be available at the pair's upcoming shows.
