Listen: Dad Jokes - Surf The Wave

Tuesday 12th January, 2016 10:44AM

Auckland garage-punk duo Dad Jokes have let loose a beach-themed cut called 'Surf The Wave'. The stand-alone single was written for the Whammy Winter Beach Party which took place last year, and then the song was later recorded, mixed, and mastered by Sam Wieck at The Killing Rooms.

The pizza-loving pals put the song out with a message on their Facebook page reading: "RAIN CLOUDS OVER HEAD. DAVID BOWIE HAS GONE BACK TO SPACE FOREVER. ALL HOPE SEEMS LOST. HERE IS OUR FEEBLE ATTEMPT AT REMINDING YOU ALL IT'S SUMMER." Take a listen below and you can pick it up for free on the Dad Jokes Bandcamp page...

Dad Jokes are playing FOR SPARE CHANGE this Saturday 16th January at Whammy Bar in Auckland, and then on 22nd January they will be hitting Moon in Wellington alongside Tigers of the Sea and Maple Syrup.
