Video: King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard - Robot Stop

Tuesday 9th August, 2016 3:00PM

Australian garage-pysch outfit King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard have unveiled a mind-warping video for 'Robot Stop', a track plucked from their new album Nonagon Infinity. Created by Jason Galea, the clip is apparently the prequel to the already released videos for 'Gamma Knife' and 'People Vultures', which will come together in the Nonagon Infinity film that is due for completion by the end of the year. Here's what Galea said about the clip's creation...

"The Robot Stop video is about wear and tear. Its also about lazer beams, plagues, computers, cogs, endurance and reincarnation. I started putting the rough ideas together for the video late 2015 and eventually got to put three months aside to work on it after finishing off the first two clips. It was my first proper attempt at a 3d animated video piece since testing the waters with my alligator in a plane scene from The River video. The video was processed with the Floyd–Steinberg dithering algorithm restricted to mostly 8-bit and at some parts 16-bit colour to get the effects.
