PRESS RELEASE:

10 Years of Akala Tour

Every so often an artist stands out of the pack and brings something to the industry that is truly unique but at the same time, honest and unforced.

BAFTA and MOBO Award-winning hip hop artist, writer and historian AKALA is one such artist. Today, PS Music Group and Call & Response are proud to announce the 10 Years Of Akala tour. Culminating a decades worth of work of the true social warrior, the iconic and outspoken UK stalwart is to bring his unique and praised performances to Australian and New Zealand shores this coming December.

Inspired by the likes of Saul Williams and Gil Scot-Heron, Akala's performances have gained the reputation of one of the most dynamic and moving in the world. With a conscious approach to his craft, Akala will take us on a journey of his works spanning his impressive career...sometimes fiery and emotive and at other times sombre and confronting.

Having spent time touring with the likes of Jay-Z, Nas, M.I.A. and Christina Aguilera to name a few, these intimate and personalized shows will be one for the story books and will be sure to sell out.
