Melbourne's Cakefight Announce New Zealand Tour

Melbourne garage rock duo Cakefight will be tearing it up throughout Aotearoa this February, with shows lined up around the country including an appearance at Tauranga's last ever Woodcock Festival. A guitar / drums combo comprised of Andrew Porter and Vanessa Morris, Cakefight unleash blisteringly catchy and energetic tunes from their minimal setup. They'll be touring in support of an upcoming self-tilted debut album which is due to drop on Wednesday 31st January, check out the tour details below...

Melbourne purveyors of raw and high energy garage rock n roll, Cakefight, are set to hit the road for their first tour across New Zealand’s south and north islands this February. Touring their upcoming debut 12” LP, a run dates are set for Christchurch, Wellington, Wanganui, Auckland, and Tauranga for the final ever Woodcock Festival.

Packing twelve tracks into 26 minutes, the long player is a collection of nostalgic tracks built with garage, power pop and raw rock ’n roll. It is also a follow up to their debut EP recorded in the heat of Austin, Texas, and released in early 2017.

Consisting of baritone guitar and primitive drums, Cakefight is the brainchild of Andrew Porter and Vanessa Morris who have become known for their raucous and energetic live performance since their first show in May 2016.
