Listen To Mount Eerie's Heartbreaking Single 'Tintin In Tibet'

US songwriter Mount Eerie aka Phil Elverum has shared a poignant single titled 'Tintin In Tibet' ahead of the release of his forthcoming album Now Only. The tune is a sparsely recorded acoustic number, with Elverum singing of a moment shared with his now deceased-partner Geneviève Gosselin, reading Herge's classic Tintin In Tibet together and talking of the associations prompted by the comic. The song then zooms ahead in time, with Elverum recalling his wife ill with cancer in their home thirteen years later. The new single provides a concise contrast with Elverum's immersive eleven-minute recent tune Distortion, but is no less affecting. Listen up to the song below...
