
Taite Music Prize 2018 Finalists Announced
Independent Music NZ (IMNZ) have announced the finalists for the Taite Music Prize 2018. Named after legendary New Zealand music journalist Dylan Taite, the Prize has long been considered to be a critics' choice award that "recognises outstanding creativity for an entire collection of music contained on one recording," bestowing $10,000, recording time at Red Bull Studios Auckland and a year’s supply of Red Bull product upon the recipient. This year's Taite Music Prize will be announced at a presentation at The Civic’s Wintergarden in Auckland on Tuesday 17th April. Alongside the main prize, two additional awards will be presented on the evening: the Auckland Live Best Independent Debut Award and the Independent Music NZ Classic Record Award.
