Watch Tami Neilson's Fiery Video 'Devil In A Dress'
Silver Scroll-winning artist Tami Neilson has shared a stylishly choreographed clip for her tune ‘Devil In A Dress’ ahead of an imminent tour of Aotearoa in July and August. Lifted from her powerful new album Sassafrass, the video is directed by Anna Duckworth and features dancers The O’Neil Twins, who also appeared in the artist’s clip for ‘Stay Outta My Business’. Neilson recounted the song being inspired by a scene from television series The Fall in a conversation with The Spinoff, in which Gillian Anderson’s character addresses the issue of female representation in media...
"The reality of the complexities of women is rarely portrayed. This song was my tongue-in-cheek way of challenging that. The O’Neill Twins, who also featured in my video for my first single, ‘Stay Outta My Business’, were the perfect fit to portray the two stereotypes – they are, visually, seemingly, the “same woman” in these different roles."
Undertheradar are thrilled to present Tami Neilson touring New Zealand in July and August, head along over here for more info.
'Sassafrass!' is out now via Outside Music.
