Busta Rhymes + Twista New Zealand Show Announced

US hip hop heavyweights Busta Rhymes and Twista are heading to Aotearoa this November, for a one night double-headline show at Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre. A true rap icon, Busta Rhymes's inimitable back catalogue spans such party-starting favourites as 'Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check' and 'Fire It Up', classic studio albums When Disaster Strikes and The Big Bang, and collaborations with a raft of superstars including Missy Elliot, Notorious B.I.G., Old Dirty Bastard, Nas, Janet Jackson, Timbaland and A Tribe Called Quest. Chicago hip hop champion and one-time fastest rapper in the world (he made the Guinness Book of Records in 1992) Twista has worked with such massive names as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, T-Pain and Pharrell, creating hits as 'Slow Jamz' and 'Overnight Celebrity'. US legends - Busta Rhymes and Twista - are making a whirlwind stop-over in New Zealand for an Auckland show this November.

Presented by Pato Entertainment, Talk Later and Flava, the rap heavyweights will go back-to-back at Logan Campbell in Auckland on Friday, November 23.

Born and bred in Brooklyn, Busta Rhymes is one of the unequivocal superstars of hip-hop, with smash hits such as ‘Woo Hah! Got You All In Check’, ‘Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See’ and ‘Fire It Up’ conquering and dominating charts around the globe.

With a career that has spanned more than 20 years, Busta Rhymes has countless critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated albums to his name, including his 1991 debut A FUTURE WITHOUT A PAST; 2006’s THE BIG BANG featuring the likes of Missy Elliot, Nas and Timbaland and 2012’s YEAR OF THE DRAGON.

Busta Rhymes is now poised to release a new record, which is already being touted as his best yet.

Sharing the stage at Logan Campbell, is a legendary hip-hop artist of the same calibre, Twista.

Hailing from Chicago, Twista is famed for his own unique ‘double-time rap’, which won him a place in the Guiness Book of Records in 1992 for being the fastest rapper in the world, pronouncing 598 syllables in 55 seconds.

Twista also has an impressive discography, from his 2004 album KAMIKAZE, which topped the US Billboard 200 album chart and included the hit song ‘Slow Jamz’; ADRENALINE RUSH 2007 in 2007 featuring T-Pain and Pharrell and last year’s CROOK COUNTRY.

A hugely in-demand rapper, Twista has also worked with Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lady Gaga.
