Thom Yorke Unveils Haunting Single 'Volk' + Video
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has unveiled 'Volk', the suspenseful latest single from his forthcoming twenty five track soundtrack collection Suspiria (Music for the Luca Guadagnino Film). The instrumental track gestures more in the direction of Italian prog-rockers Goblin's classic score to Dario Argento's garish horror original than previous single 'Suspirium', serving up a witchy blend of nervous synth arpeggios and increasingly frantic instrumentation, ratcheting up listeners' tension to blood-curdling levels. The tune is accompanied by an evocative rotoscoped clip by RUFFMERCY, who has created suitably dread-inducing, semi-abstract visuals while spoiling none of director Guadagnino's new film's mystery. Yorke's soundtrack drops in late October digitally and on double vinyl, zone out to 'Volk' and recently released single 'Has Ended' (featuring vocals from Yorke) below...
