Live Photos: Bloc Party - Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington

UK indie heavyweights Bloc Party swept into Aotearoa over the weekend for headline shows in Wellington and Auckland, to treat local fans with a performance of their breakthrough 2005 debut album Silent Alarm in its entirety. Kele Okereke and his crew rattled off such spiky singalong classics as 'Banquet' and 'Helicopter' with support from local guitar-pop heroes The Beths, who are very much on the ascendant since the release of their attention-grabbing debut album Future Me Hates Me earlier this year. Photographer Bruce Mackay headed along to the capital's Michael Fowler Centre to document the Monday evening event, gaze upon his snaps of the action here (click images to view the full gallery)...
