Dunedin "anxious polka-punk" trio Negative Nancies recently dropped You Do You, a six track collection which we simply had to feature here before the end of the year. The hazy and jagged EP opens with 'The Dogs', featuring hypnotic vocal intonations over spooky drone action, followed by five tracks rammed full of high-energy, infectious hooks that you just want to sing along with. Closing number 'Fun Fun Fun' could be something of a new Dunedin summer anthem, with the lines "Fun fun fun, in the sun, all day, no time to play."
