Timetable Revealed For WOMAD New Zealand 2019 Festival
The timetable has been revealed for New Plymouth's annual celebration of musical diversity from across the globe WOMAD New Zealand, this year showcasing such stellar international artists as Beninese singer-songwriter, actress and activist Angelique Kidjo, Cuban hip hop / cumbia / dancehall artist La Dame Blanche, acclaimed Estonian folk artist Maarja Nuut and DRC-born, Belgium-based rapper Baloji (you can read Garth Shute's interview with him here). An awesome element of the three day, multi-stage event is all artists perform twice, so you don't have to tear your hair out about any life-destroying schedule clashes and can freely explore the sounds of previously unknown acts. Dive into the timetable featuring over 40 local and international artists here...
WOMAD New Zealand 2019 is happening from Friday 15th March to Sunday 17th March, at New Plymouth's TSB Bowl of Brooklands, Pukekura Park.
