Live Photos: Earthless, Ounce, Transistor - Valhalla, Wellington

California psych-rock titans Earthless bought their incomparable cosmic racket to Wellington’s heavy music mecca Valhalla on Friday, for the first show of their whirlwind three date North Island tour over the weekend. Guitarist (and occasional vocalist) Isaiah Mitchell shredded up a storm in the midst of a sky-gazing trance while bassist Mike Eginton and drummer Mario Rubalcaba laid down a mind-bendingly tight sonic bedrock. Warming the audience’s aural receptors were Wellington-based power trio Transistor and Auckland double-drum olfactory perplexers Ounce, who are embarking on their debut album release tour through March.
