Baltimore dream-pop duo Beach House's latest album 7 was a mainstay of 2018 end of year lists, cited by pundits worldwide as one of the best releases of the year. The duo of singer / keyboardist Victoria Legrand and multi-instrumentalist Alex Scally were in Aotearoa last night for their first local show since 2016's epic Laneway Festival lineup, as part of Auckland Arts Festival 2019 (whose programme this week includes performances by Four Tet, Death Cab For Cutie and Neko Case), to play a special at Auckland Town Hall, initially shrouded in fog before the lights kicked in.
