King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Announce New Album + Share Title Track

Tuesday 12th March, 2019 1:41PM

Hyperprolific Melbourne psych-rock behemoths King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are officially back after a year-plus break between releases, with today's announcement they'll be dropping their fourteenth (!) album Fishing For Fishies this coming April. Infamous for releasing five kick-ass long players in 2017, when they also somehow squeezed in a legendary four night residency at Auckland's Whammy Bar (plus two shows at Wellington's San Fran), the indefatigable big band don't do things by halves and have also unveiled the title track to their new record. The new single is a foot stomping flight of fancy, inviting listeners for a refreshing dip in the group's aural stream of consciousness, accompanied by a bubbly animated clip created by Jason Galea featuring the free floating band doing their thing on a gently psychedelic river journey. It's a rural flipside to King Gizz's technology-loving recent single 'Cyboogie', the new record promises an enticing world where "the rustic meets the robotic." Experience 'Fishing For Fishies' here...

'Fishing For Fishies' is out on Friday 26th April via Flightless Records.
