Listen To Scott Mannion's Debut Solo Album 'Loving Echoes'

Friday 7th June, 2019 9:49AM

Lil' Chief Records co-founder and helmsman of fabled Auckland guitar-pop tunesmiths The Tokey Tones, songwriter Scott Mannion has at last unveiled his near-mythical solo album Loving Echoes following fifteen years between long-players. Now based in Valencia, Spain, Mannion's debut collection delivers ten perfectly formed songs carving out their own dreamlike and timeless sonic spaces, produced with the help of Ryan McPhun of the Ruby Suns, who also co-wrote three songs on the record. Also lending a hand is none other than Taite Music Prize winner James Milne aka Lawrence Arabia, who co-penned the gently grooving 'Your Kinda Love', as well as contributions from Jonathan Bree, Princess Chelsea and Clara Viñals (who sung on Bree's latest album Sleepwalking). A long time in the making yet well worth the wait, bask in the catchiness of Loving Echoes below and experience a brand new video for 'You Are the Substance That I Can't Live Without' here...

'Loving Echoes' is out now on LP and CD via Lil’ Chief Records / Rhythmethod.
