Blush Juliet Return With Single 'Prom Night' + Video

Formerly based in Tāmaki Makaurau, the duo of Archi Banal (Civil Union) and Emmanuel Sarmiento recently made waves as Blush Juliet with their disarmingly passionate debut single 'Slide Into View', and played their first ever live show in May (with instrumental assistance from Carb on Carb's Nicole Gaffney and James Stutely) before immediately dispersing to explore the globe. They've followed up that student radio chart-topping tune with 'Prom Night', the pair's sophomore release, accompanied by a DIY video filmed by George Rump and edited by Sarmiento. The band's casually emotive lyrics and sweeping loud-quiet dynamics are complemented by dazed footage of the duo playfully activating the sub-basement spaces of what looks to be some kind of institution or academic complex. It's yet to be revealed if Blush Juliet will return to Aotearoa's stages for an encore performance, experience their 'Prom Night' here...
