Listen To Harper Finn's Double Single 'Conversations (With The Moon) / Teenage Queen'
Rising songwriter Harper Finn – son of Aotearoa pop royal Tim Finn – has unveiled the double-single drop of 'Conversations (With The Moon) / Teenage Queen', a soaring pair of releases heralding next week's headline event at Auckland's Ding Dong Lounge (postponed from last night due to illness). Mixed by Kody Nielson, the pulsing synth-driven pop of 'Teenage Queen' overflows with peppy robo-melodies and vibey production flourishes, while the lushly arranged 'Conversations (With The Moon)' packs plenty of epic sweep, showcasing the artist in fine voice throughout. The latter track draws its origin from Finn's post-party nocturnal meanderings, he explained “The idea for Conversations (With The Moon) came to me as I walked home alone from a house party one night. I was walking along the empty streets while my mind raced around the night that was, accompanied only by the moonlight.”
Every ticket-holder for Harper Finn's headline event next week will receive a free 7" single featuring both brand new tunes, which you can wrap your ears around below...
