Live Photos: The Others Way Festival 2019 - Auckland

The Others Way festival took over Tāmaki Makaurau's Karangahape Road district on Friday, bustling with punters of all stripes zig-zagging from venue to venue to catch their favourite acts. As noted by many, the mammoth festival was way too huge to even attempt to experience all of the musical good stuff on the bill, with nearly 50 acts and 13 venues to navigate. Attendees were free to follow their noses and essentially curate their own evening's lineup from the feast of options available.

Highlights from the truly world class festival for the UTR team included: the triumphant return of Wellington art-punks Cortina, Hans Pucket with horn section at the beautiful Mercury Theatre, rising guitar-pop wunderkinds Water, Pōneke psych trio Mermaidens, Serbia-based Christchurch avant-rockers DOG Power, the club-shaking afterparty sonics of Cave Circles, and so much more.
